Outbound ("1+") Services, Switched Access (Long Distance Service)
U.S. South's Switched Outbound Service is a switched 1 plus service available for residential or business subscribers. Customers must fill out an Letter of Agency ("LOA") in order to establish service with U.S. South. Rates vary by state.

Inbound ("800") Services (toll-free service)
U.S. South's 800 Switched Service is available for any U.S. South account. The 800 number may be established during activation of the account, or added later on. If the customer has an existing 800 number that they are converting to U.S. South, a RespOrg form must be completed and submitted with a current Letter of Agency (LOA). Rates vary by state.

U.S. South's Calling Card is available to all U.S. South subscribers. Rates vary.

  • Simplified flat rate structure with one rate applies to inbound/outbound calls.
  • Substantial savings on all interstate long distance calls.
  • All inbound and outbound calls are billed in 6 second increments, after an initial 18 seconds.
  • All international calls are billed 6 second increments, after an initial 30 seconds.
  • All calling card calls are billed in full minute increments.
  • Payphone calls have a surcharge of up to $.65 (subject to change)
  • Credit will be given on customer's billing for local exchange carrier (LEC) change-over costs
